CompTIA CASP+ (rebranded as SecurityX) is positioned as the advanced practitioner certification for experienced security professionals who are not pursuing management. It covers enterprise security architecture, advanced risk management, security operations at programme level, and research and collaboration. The CASP+ exam includes performance-based questions — but even performance-based questions in a timed exam environment do not replicate the quality of a supervised practitioner scenario assessed by a senior colleague. XCASP is built for experienced security professionals who want to demonstrate advanced practitioner capability through actual work.
Across five instructor-led days, XCASP covers enterprise security architecture and engineering, advanced security operations, governance, risk, and compliance at senior level, and security research and collaboration. Coverage aligns to the CompTIA SecurityX (CASP+) exam objectives while extending content to reflect real enterprise security challenges including zero trust at scale, AI security architecture, supply chain risk at enterprise level, and regulatory compliance for complex multinational environments.
On Day 5, participants design an enterprise security architecture for a complex simulated organisation and navigate a governance and risk management scenario requiring application of advanced practitioner knowledge across all domains. A senior practitioner assesses architectural quality, risk judgement, and governance decisions. XCASP certificate and Practitioner Assessment Report issued. Aligned with CompTIA SecurityX/CASP+ objectives (content), NIST SP 800-53 Rev.5, NIST CSF 2.0, ISO 27001:2022, SABSA enterprise security architecture, Zero Trust (NIST 800-207/NCSC), and DoD 8140.
Applied enterprise architecture design exercises, zero trust implementation planning, advanced risk quantification scenarios, security programme governance simulation, and a multi-domain practitioner assessment on Day 5.

Apply post-quantum cryptography migration planning and AI security architecture governance to enterprise security design decisions
Govern enterprise vulnerability management, attack surface management, and supply chain security programmes at programme level
Manage multi-framework regulatory compliance across ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, DORA, NIS2, and UK GDPR simultaneously in complex enterprise environments
Design and govern strategic threat intelligence programmes including platform selection, ISAC participation, and intelligence sharing governance
Communicate advanced security architecture and risk decisions to executive leadership using architecture decision records and risk quantification
Minimum 5 years of technical security experience in security architecture, security engineering, or senior security practitioner roles
Working knowledge of at least three major security frameworks: NIST CSF 2.0, ISO 27001, NIST SP 800-53, or enterprise security architecture frameworks
Demonstrated experience with enterprise security architecture, advanced risk management, or complex GRC programme delivery
