4-Day Instructor-Led Programme
The XCSRD Certification Programme is the practitioner standard for ESG and sustainability reporting professionals who implement Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) compliance programmes, produce IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards reports, and govern ESG data across enterprise reporting functions. Assessed on Day 4 through a supervised CSRD materiality assessment and ESG report framework design β no MCQs, no exam, uncontested in the UK instructor-led market.

The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) is mandatory for thousands of organisations operating in the EU β including UK companies with EU operations or listing on EU-regulated markets. CSRD requires double materiality assessments, assurance-ready ESG data, and disclosures aligned to the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). Simultaneously, the ISSB's IFRS S1 and S2 standards are becoming the global baseline for sustainability disclosure in capital markets. Almost no training provider offers a practical programme that teaches professionals how to implement these requirements β not just describe them. XCSRD fills that gap completely.
Across four instructor-led days, participants build ESG reporting practitioner capability across the complete reporting lifecycle: CSRD applicability assessment and timeline, double materiality assessment methodology (impact materiality + financial materiality), ESRS implementation, IFRS S1/S2 climate disclosure, GRI Standards application, TCFD and climate scenario analysis, Scope 1/2/3 emissions accounting, ESG data quality and assurance, and building sustainable reporting governance structures. Every session applies to real reporting scenarios from listed companies, large private enterprises, and supply chain sustainability obligations.
On Day 4, participants conduct a double materiality assessment for a simulated enterprise and design an ESG reporting framework aligned to CSRD and ISSB standards. A senior sustainability reporting practitioner assesses methodology quality and framework design. XCSRD certificate and Practitioner Assessment Report issued. Aligned with CSRD/ESRS, IFRS S1/S2, GRI Standards 2021, TCFD, CDP, UK SDR, SEC Climate Rules, and ISO 14064 for GHG accounting.
Hands-on double materiality assessment exercises, ESRS disclosure mapping, Scope 1/2/3 emissions calculation methodology, TCFD scenario analysis, and ESG reporting framework design on Day 4.

CSRD applies from FY2024 for large public-interest entities (500+ employees), from FY2025 for large companies (250+ employees/β¬40m+ turnover/β¬20m+ balance sheet β two of three criteria), and from FY2026 for listed SMEs. Non-EU companies with EU turnover above β¬150m must also report from FY2028. UK companies with EU subsidiaries, listings, or operations are likely in scope β XCSRD helps determine this and plan accordingly.
