3-Day Instructor-Led Programme
A practitioner programme for security professionals in maritime, aviation, and space sectors covering GPS spoofing, AIS manipulation, avionics vulnerabilities, satellite system security, and IMO cyber risk compliance. Develop the skills to assess and protect navigation, communications, and operational systems in transport and space infrastructure against nation-state cyber threats specific to each sector.

Maritime, aviation, and space infrastructure form the connective tissue of global commerce, military coordination, and communications. Nation-state actors have demonstrated active and growing interest in GPS spoofing and jamming, AIS vessel position manipulation, ECDIS chart tampering, avionics system vulnerabilities, and satellite command-and-control link compromise. Cyberattacks targeting space infrastructure have the potential to simultaneously disrupt GPS navigation, financial transaction systems, and military communications. Over three mentor-led days, participants examine the specific cyber threats facing maritime, aviation, and space environments, apply IMO Maritime Cyber Risk Management requirements to vessel and port assessments, assess satellite communication security for civilian and defence applications including post-quantum cryptography requirements, identify vulnerabilities in aircraft systems including avionics, ACARS, and ADS-B, and develop incident response plans for cyber events affecting vessels, aircraft, or satellite systems. The programme concludes with an OT risk assessment capstone for a simulated maritime vessel environment. This course is aligned with IMO MSC-FAL.1/Circ.3, ICAO cybersecurity guidance, post-quantum cryptography NIST standards for long-life systems, and IEC 62443 applied to maritime OT environments.
GPS spoofing scenario analysis, AIS data integrity assessment practical, satellite communication security assessment exercise, aviation systems vulnerability review, and a maritime vessel OT risk assessment capstone.
Practitioner-led case study analysis of documented GPS spoofing incidents, Iranian APT aviation targeting in 2026, and satellite command-link security design with live threat commentary across all three sectors.
Maritime OT security assessment, IMO cyber risk management compliance, GPS and AIS spoofing detection, aviation cybersecurity assessment, satellite communication security, and cross-sector incident response planning.

You will receive an Xcademia certificate of completion based on participation and successful completion of labs and scenario simulations.
Everything you need to know about this course
No. Participants are typically specialists in one sector seeking strategic awareness across the other two. The capstone focuses on the maritime environment, but all sector content is applicable across adjacent transport and space domains.
